Description
3/18/24 - This is an DWM Artillery Luger issued to the imperial German military in 1917 for use in WW1. It is all matching and has the proper imperial proof stamps. The gun has retained about 90% of its original bluing, with finish loss evident on the sideplate, some of the high edges, and rear toggle. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there are signs of minor oxidation throughout the grip straps and frame, with some mild pitting on the right side of the frame and along the right side of the barrel. The straw is mostly gone as well. Bore has strong rifling, but shows minor signs of corrosion. Unit marked "J.R.99.3.K.6" indicating this example was the sixth gun issued to the third company infantry unit 99. Grips show no major damage or cracks, but the checkering is slightly worn and there are couple minor dings on the right panel. Comes as a rig with a mismatched wood magazine and a 1916-dated holster, which is in decent condition, but does exhibit significant cracking in the front leather. Also Comes with original cleaning rod.Specifications
