Description

6/14/24 - This is an excellent example of a DWM Artillery Luger issued to the Imperial German Army in 1917. All matching with the proper Imperial proofs and a "164. R. 5. 9." unit marking on the front strap. It comes as a rig with a period-correct holster, period-correct leather harness, correct Imperial marked wood stock (numbered but mismatched to the gun), a mismatched magazine, a period-correct cleaning rod, Imperial-proofed tool, and a high quality reproduction leather strap. The boot of the leather harness is starting to come apart. The gun's original finish rates about 94%. Nearly all of the finish loss is on the side plate, but there is also some minor muzzle wear, and light freckling throughout. Fitted with minty matching-numbered grips (the numbers are faint). The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
