Description

2/29/24 - This is a nice example of a "bcd 43" code Gustloff Werke K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching with the proper military acceptance proofs throughout. The finish on the metal parts rates roughly 70% with obvious thinning and spotty oxidation on virtually all of the parts. There is no structural damage to the wood, but there are some noticeable bruises and a few small gouges. There is a number scratched into the right side of the butt stock. Comes with a period-correct leather sling. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but unfortunately, there is a slight bulge in the barrel.
