SOLD - Rare FN Browning High Power - Finnish Contract (13306 - 29904)

3/7/24 - This is a very rare and desirable FN Browning High Power that was part of a very small Finnish contract. Per Vanderlinden's book on FN pistols, Finland used nearly every FN handgun over the years in their attempts to defend themselves against their Russian neighbors. With the outbreak of the Winter War, Finland requested a supply of High Powers with shoulder-stocks on a short schedule. Only ~2,400 such examples were shipped, all in serial range 11,000-15,000. This pistol is in the proper serial range and is marked N6 on the right side of the trigger guard. Finnish "SA" marking on the right side of the frame and on the base of the magazine. It is all matching. Import mark on the butt of the frame. The original finish rates somewhere between 85-90% with general high edge wear. Fitted with nice wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light frosting throughout.
