SOLD - Super Rare FN Browning Hi Power Rig - Finnish Contract

5/5/21 - This is a very rare and desirable FN Browning High Power rig with holster/stock combo that was part of a very small Finnish contract. Per Vanderlinden's book on FN pistols, Finland used nearly every FN handgun over the years in their attempts to defend themselves against their Russian neighbors. With the outbreak of the Winter War, Finland requested a supply of High Powers with shoulder-stocks on a short schedule. Only ~2,400 such examples were shipped, all in serial range 11,000-15,000. This pistol, holster and stock are all SA marked, translating to Suomen Armeija (Finnish Army). This pistol is matching and original with thinning to the finish throughout, especially on the straps. The stock is also numbered and matching to the pistol! The grips show similar handling wear, but the bore is shiny with strong rifling. These early examples had the notable tangent sight and slotted frame. Stock and holster are both in good condition, showing honest age and handling wear but no major defects.
