Description

6/3/24 - This is a very nice example of a scarce, second variation Remington Rand 1911A1 from 1943. It has the proper 2nd variation slide with larger legend, and is in the correct serial range. Correct High Standard barrel with an excellent bore. It has retained about 90% of its original finish with general minor high edge wear, some thinning on the grip straps and top of the slide, and some light spotty discoloration on the top of the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a proper "R" marked magazine.
