Description

6/4/24 - This is an original M1921 Mauser "Bolo", manufactured in the late 1920's. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. This one is mostly matching but a couple of the small parts are mismatched. The original finish rates roughly 50%. There is obvious spotty wear and brown patina throughout. Some light scratches here and there. Fitted with its original matching-numbered wood grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting in the grooves.
