Description
9/25/24 - This is a WW2 Model 1911A1 pistol that was reworked at the Springfield Arsenal after the war. This was most likely done for sale to the public through the CMP. There are arsenal markings on the right side of the frame. The slide was made by Colt, and the barrel is a post-war replacement. The frame has made by Ithaca with a very faint "FJA" inspection stamp. The frame has a very early serial number for Ithaca (856476) - the 72nd Ithaca every made! The gun was reparkerized at the arsenal and shows essentially no finish loss. Fitted with period-correct plastic grips and comes with a post-war magazine. Very nice bore.Specifications
