Ultra Rare Krieghoff Luger - P Code

10/11/24 - This is an extremely hard to find P Code Series Krieghoff Luger, with Heinrich Krieghoff frame inscription! In 1935-36, about 10,000 excellent Krieghoff lugers were supplied to the Luftwaffe, but a little more than 1,000 or so were rejected by the Luftwaffe inspectorate on technicalities such as excessive headspace. These otherwise flawless guns were sound enough to be sold for commercial use, and received a P-prefix before the serial number on the frame. The rejection stamp on this one can be seen as a five-pointed star on the right side of the receiver. The left side of the frames on these pistols were inscribed "Heinrich Krieghoff Waffenfabrik Suhl", and this correct marking can also be found on the pistol listed above. This particular pistol has retained roughly 75-80% of its original finish. The most obvious wear is on the grip straps, but there is also general high edge wear, and an area of wear on the left side of the frame around the inscription. Fitted with proper reddish Krieghoff grips and comes with a blank aluminum bottom magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with great rifling.
