Description

10/18/24 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1917 revolver issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, has the proper military acceptance proof on the left side of the frame, and is "United States Property" marking on the underside of the barrel. It's original bluing rates somewhere between 85-90%. The majority of the finish loss comes from wear around the muzzle with noticeable oxidation on the left side. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is light brown patina covering the gun. Fitted with period-correct grips - the left is numbered and mismatched, the right is not numbered. Mint bore.
