Description

10/30/24 - This is a very hard-to-find Walther P.38, with '40' added under the ac proof on left side slide. There were only 5,700 of this variation produced, made in November of 1940 with the '40' added after the gun was blued. This pistol is in the proper range for this variation, and is all matching (including the grips) and original. Comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. The finish rates somewhere between 85-90% of its high polish finish. Areas of splotchy discoloration and pitting along both sides of the slide and along the barrel - the pitting is most noticeable on the left side of the slide. Excellent bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
