Description

12/11/24 - This is a very rare and highly desirable Colt M1911 from 1913, one of only 1,250 issued to the United States Marines Corps that year. These are identified by serial range and shipping records, from numbers 36,401-37,650. This particular example has a mismatched slide that is too early for this frame. Early Colt barrel with disconnect 'P H' markings. The gun has an old re-blued finish, and the slide has a slightly plum colored tint to it. There is general high edge wear and some minor scratchy wear on the grip straps. Fitted with nice wood grips and comes with a two-tone lanyard loop magazine. The condition of the bore is poor, very little rifling lift with obvious pitting throughout.
