Description
3/26/25 - This is a very nice example of a "Red 9" Mauser C96 issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and Imperial military proofed. Fitted with an excellent set of matching-numbered "Red 9" grips. There is a "1920" government property on the left side of the slide, indicating it remained in government service after WWI. It comes as a rig with a matching-numbered wood stock, a 1917-dated leather harness (a name lightly scratched onto the back), a spare magazine spring, and an original cleaning rod. The gun itself has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is general high edge and muzzle wear, wear on the underside of the barrel, and the bottom of the floor plate shows some finish loss. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.Specifications
