2/25/21 - This is an excellent example of a "Red 9" Mauser C96 rig issued to the Imperial German army in 1915-16. The red 9 on the grips indicates it was chambered in 9mm for military use. The gun comes with the original matching wood stock and four stripper clips. The gun is all matching and has retained about 95% of its original bluing. There is minor wear on around the muzzle, on the underside of the barrel, and on some of the high edges. The grips are excellent and are numbered "45665". This is three digits away from the serial on the gun. Because the numbers are so close, one would have to assume this was a factory error or factory replacement. The bore has strong rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout. The stock is excellent and Imperial proofed. Just some minor bruises here and there.
