3/19/25 - This is a nice example of a scarce WB-marked Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. The slide is numbered and matching. It is "United States Property" marked and has "WB" inspector initials. "Colt 45 Auto" barrel with a large "G" under the lug. The gun's finish rates roughly 60% with noticeable finish loss throughout, concentrated mostly on the top and left sides of the slide and on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a period-correct "L" marked magazine. The bore has really good rifling, but there is some light freckling in the grooves.
