4/17/25 - This is a beautiful example of a 1944 Dual Tone P.38 with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. All matching with the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. The black Mauser style grips are proper for 1944 production. It has retained nearly all of its original finish. The original, matching-numbered barrel on this one has been plugged and cannot be fired in its current configuration. All you would need to do is swap the barrel, and it would be completely functional again. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1943-dated holster and two Mauser magazines. The gun is a WW2 bringback that was mailed home by the GI who captured it. It comes with the original shipping box (with shipping label and Railway Express Agency label), original packaging and packing materials, and two original copies of the WW2 War Department Shipping Documents that list this exact gun by serial number. This a great, original grouping of a captured WW2 Mauser P.38.
