Description
5/6/25 - One of the more unusual and well travelled police lugers you are ever likely to see. This pistol started out as an artillery luger made by Erfurt in 1914. After the war it was sent to a police arsenal where it received the short barrel. At some point it also received the magazine and sear safety as well as the '1920' property stamp. In addition, the pistol still retains a matching magazine that used an original Navy wood magazine base. The matching serial number, as well as the matching inventory number on the grip strap are both stamped on the magazine base. The pistol was originally sent to a police unit in Berlin, and then later to police units in Erfurt. There are four different unit designations on the grip strap indicating the remarkable history of this gun. About 96% of the finish remains, and the bore is excellent. All matching and comes with a very nice 1915 dated WW1 holster that has been reworked into a police configuration.Specifications
