Description
9/2/25 - This is a nice example of a first-generation Colt Single Action Army revolver, manufactured in 1898. Chambered in .38 WCF with a 5.5" barrel. All matching and fully functional. There are initials "F. B. E." on the underside of the barrel. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it was shipped to Simmons Hardware Company in St Louis, Missouri on June 25, 1898. It has lost virtually all of its original finish with light spotty oxidation throughout and some areas of very light pin-pricking here and there. Some light surface scratching on the cylinder. Fitted with period-correct hard rubber grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is some surface oxidation and minor pitting throughout. No FFL required.
