Description

11/15/24 - This is an excellent example of a rare Remington Model 40-X rifle with U.S.M.C. PROPERTY roll mark on receiver, one of 2,200 produced. Introduced in 1955, this early 40-X wears a 28" medium-heavy barrel with factory supplied scope blocks and has holes drilled for Redfield target sights. The bluing is original and in excellent condition with minor marks on the barrel. Mint bore and terrific stock with no notable wear other than some handling marks. The rubber buttplate is in good condition free of any damage.
