Description
10/20/25 - Beautiful condition. This is a matching numbers, 1946, Canadian Enfield No 7 MK I Long Branch chambered in .22 LR. This rifle serial number falls within the range of a 1944/45 "OL" series. Although un-common, it is not unheard of. so it could be a "put together" from sometime in the past, or just re-numbered for un-known reasons. There is a link at the bottom of this description that has more detailed information. This assembly includes a scarce No 7 MK I transport case. The case shows an address of the Canadian Forces Station Alsask, Canada. It was a key radar base monitoring Soviet activity in North American airspace during the cold war. The Canadian No. 7 was specifically designed and built as a .22 caliber rifle, not a .303 caliber conversion. This example retains about 98% of its black finish. There are no import marks. The bore rates a strong 8 of 10. Blade front sight and a peep rear sight, graduated for 20 and 100 yards. Features an oil-finished straight-grain walnut stock with a serrated upper handguard. Proper proofs throughout. Smooth action and fully functional. The case shows a few age cracks in the top and ends, but it is still very solid.
