Description
8/26/25 - This is a Smith & Wesson Model 639, a second-generation semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Model 639 was the stainless-steel successor to the alloy-framed Model 39, offering greater durability and a sleek brushed finish. It features a double-action/single-action trigger system, a 4-inch barrel, and a 14-round magazine capacity. The 639 was among the first S&W autos to incorporate both stainless steel construction and ambidextrous safety levers, making it a robust and versatile choice for law enforcement and civilian shooters alike. These pistols were produced from 1983 to 1988 and represent an important transitional design for Smith & Wesson’s 2nd Generation series. Known for their solid feel and reliable performance, the Model 639 has become increasingly collectible, especially in well-preserved condition. This one is in mint condition with just one or two tiny scratches on the left side of the slide. Mint bore. Fitted with blonde checkered wood grips. It comes with its original matching-numbered box, owners manual, two magazines, and cleaning kit.
