Description
8/26/25 - The Smith & Wesson Model 659 is a 2nd-Generation, double-stack 9mm that brought full-stainless construction to S&W’s high-capacity line. Produced circa 1983–1988 as the stainless counterpart to the alloy-framed Model 459 (and the evolution of the original Model 59), the 659 features a 4" barrel, DA/SA trigger, ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, and a double-column magazine (typically 14-round). Most examples wear fixed three-dot sights (adjustables were offered), a squared trigger guard, and checkered wraparound grips—delivering that classic 1980s duty-pistol feel with the added corrosion resistance and heft of stainless steel. Well-known for reliable feeding and a smooth single-action break, the 659 served both law-enforcement and civilian shooters through the transition years that would lead to S&W’s 3rd-Generation pistols (like the 5906). This one is in mint condition with just a few tiny surface marks here and there. Comes with its original matching-numbered box, owners manual, and two magazines.
