Description

11/12/20 - This is a very cool and all original Arisaka Type 99 that appears to be an authentic battlefield recovery based off the clear bullet damage to the stock. A simple chip or graze in the wood could be caused by many things, but look at the damage to the metal as well. The rifle shows authentic wear but matching numbers throughout, including bolt, bayonet lug and even the dust cover. The rifle also has an original bipod and cleaning rod, as well. There's obvious thinning and freckling on the metal surfaces but that just lends credence to where this gun has been. Full mum is intact. And somewhat surprisingly, the bore is minty.
