Description

8/4/21 - This is a beautiful commercial Smith Carbine that was made in the Civil War era by American Machine Works in Springfield, Massachusetts. It's original and has great bluing overall, with some wear on the trigger guard and some patina/oxidation along the barrel. Beautiful case hardening around the receiver. Strong, shiny bore that has only minor freckling. Very nice wood stock and handguard that only have minor dings throughout, and stock is marked 'G.F'. Seems in good mechanical order. Antique so no license required.
