SOLD - BNZ 42 K98 - Shooter Grade

3/12/19 - This is an original 1942 production K98 rifle. The rifle is "bnz" maker stamped on the receiver and serial numbered 4408. The rifle has a mis-matched bolt assembly and is being sold as what we consider "shooter grade" or a piece that some collectors buy for shooting / use. The finish is mostly missing on the metal parts of this rifle - see photos. There's dark patina and discoloration throughout. The receiver and barrel have been "de-nazified" meaning the waffen proofs have been peened out. There are still some proofs nazi on the bolt assembly that haven't been altered. The bolt is mismatching and the barrel is "41 Ru", meaning made by Ruhrstahl (correct for this rifle). The stock has been sanded and there are no signs of markings or stamps on the wood. The butt plate is "bpr" stamped. The bore is 6/10 with strong rifling but there's patina / wear throughout the lands and grooves.
