Description
10/1/26 - This is a nice example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It comes as a rig with a 1943 dated and Waffen-proofed hard shell P.38 holster with a partially visible ink stamp on the inside. It also comes with one "Eagle 88" marked Spreewerk magazine and a rare late-war phosphate "U" marked magazine. The gun's original finish rates somewhere between 85-90%. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some thinning on the barrel and on the front strap. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is some discoloration and a couple of spots of textured pitting on the left side of the slide. Fitted with reddish phenolic grips. Very nice bore with good rifling. De-cocker is functional.
