Description
10/16/26 - This is a Chinese warlord-era pistol of the type known to collectors as the "Horn Grip Type," named for its horn grip panels. During the 1920s and 1930s, civil war and international arms embargoes drove a wave of domestic firearms production in China, and small workshops of widely varying quality turned out their own pistols. This pattern is one of a handful of distinct domestic Chinese designs, with a simple blowback action, an open-top slide, an external hammer, an Eibar-style safety above the trigger, and a rear sight block that loosely imitates the tangent sight of a C96 Mauser. Like many of these workshop pistols, it is covered in imitation markings, with various FN-style markings and numbers throughout and a Mauser banner logo on the right side of the slide. Built with crude hand-fitting, these pistols were never known for their performance. This example has no finish, with bare metal and honest spotty patina throughout. Fitted with horn grips with just some honest scratches on both sides, and it comes with one magazine. The bore is noticeably bulged in two places. We do not recommend firing this gun. Chambered in .32 ACP.
