9/23/20 - This is a Civil War Spencer Model 1860 Repeating Rifle, chambered in .56-.56 Spencer Rimfire. This particular rifle comes with a letter of authenticity and research connecting this gun with the 10th Michigan Cavalry organized at Grand Rapids, Michigan during the Civil War. Generally, the gun is in fair condition but the metal parts are covered in a heavy layer of brown patina. The stock has dents and scratches throughout. There is a more noticeable chip near the grip and star carvings on both sides of the stock. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
