Description
12/4/23 - This is a great example of an Imperial German Kar98a issued to the German army during WW1. The rifle retains 90% of its finish and looks great for the age. The receiver retains a deep blue but other parts like the barrel and nose cap have prickling of corrosion. Many other parts have a nice layer of patina. The buttplate is heavily corroded but the last 2 digits of the serial number are visible. The stock looks to have been very lightly sanded. Proofs and serial number are still visible. The rifle has matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt body, bolt sleeve, safety flag, cocking piece, bolt stop, stock, magazine floor, trigger guard, both screws for the trigger guard, butt plate, rear barrel band, nose cap, front sight post, rear sight body and leaf. The slider is missing its plunger so it does not lock in place. The bore is in great shape being very bright with sharp rifling. Comes with a flip up muzzle cover.Specifications
