Description
3/3/25 - This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 that was originally issued to the US military in 1944 but then later reworked and sold through the CMP Program. The slide and frame are mated but both made by Remington Rand. Post-war replacement barrel. The gun comes with a CMP hard case, owners manual, and one post-war magazine. This particular gun was later issued to the 101st Airborne, as laid out in the included letter from the DoD. Also included is a detailed record of this gun's military history from 1975 to 2021. The gun itself has retained nearly all of its parkerized finish with just hints of wear around the high edges. Fitted with an excellent pair of WW2-era reddish bakelite grips. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.Specifications
