Description

1/23/23 - This is a U.S. Army issued and inspected Colt 1911A1 from 1944 that was sent to Britain as part of the lend-lease program. It has the proper U.S. military inspectors marks, and British proofs are visible on right rear frame and slide, as well as the barrel. Proper Colt barrel with small 'F' under lug. Very good finish overall with some standard high edge wear, and a spot of finish loss on the front left side of slide and trigger guard. 'L' marked magazine. Minty bore.
