Description
10/7/26 - This is a Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver, manufactured in 1864 and chambered in .36 caliber. It is almost entirely matching, but the barrel wedge is mismatched. There is a factory overstamp of the serial number on the front strap. The gun has lost most of its original finish, with an honest, spotty "attic patina" throughout. The cylinder has retained roughly 50% of its scene. Some of the original case hardening is still visible on the frame, hammer, and loading rod. Fitted with period-correct wood grips with minor bruising, and there is a repaired chip in the bottom left corner of the left side. The bore is about 3/10 with pretty good rifling, but there is noticeable spotty oxidation throughout. Fully functional. No FFL required.
