Description
10/5/26 - This is a Colt/Remington Rand Model 1911, built on a WWI Colt frame manufactured in 1918 and fitted with a WW2 Remington Rand slide. The "AA" marking on the left side of the frame shows it was reworked at Augusta Arsenal, most likely for use during WW2. The barrel is a WWI-era "H P" marked barrel. Fitted with WW2-era reddish brown plastic grips and comes with a later replacement magazine. The arsenal-applied parkerized finish rates about 95%, with just general high edge and muzzle wear. Very nice bore with strong rifling. A clean arsenal rework that carries both WWI and WW2 history.
