Description
10/13/26 - This is a nice Colt Model 1909 revolver issued to the US Army in 1911. All matching with the proper early Colt "surfboard" logo on the left side of the frame and the "United States Property" marking on the barrel, along with "RAC" and "FB" military inspection stamps. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There is thinning along both sides of the barrel and on the grip straps, and there are what appear to be light grind marks on the edges of the front strap and on the butt of the frame, though they have not obscured any of the markings. There are areas of light spotty oxidation and pin-pricking on much of the gun, most noticeable along the barrel and on the cylinder, as well as some scratches and marks here and there. Fitted with period-correct smooth wood grips. A solid, all-matching US Army sidearm from the years just before WW1. The bore is mostly shiny with very strong rifling, but there are a few small spots of oxidation.
