Description

4/30/26- For sale is a nice DLV flyer's knife.(Deutscher Luftsport-Verband Fliegermesser). The DLV was a nominally civilian organization that provided early, prohibited military flight training under Hermann Goring before the formation of the Luftwaffe in 1935. The blade is bright with some light patina and scabbard wear but no serious damage or grinding. The blade is marked with the "Josef Munch Brotterode" manufacturer's mark. The wings and swastika on both sides of the crossguard are intact. The leather wrap on the handle is undamaged. The leather wrap on the scabbard has some wear but no deep scrapes. The knife also has both segments of the hanger strap which are worn but still intact. Overall in excellent condition.
