Description

12/4/23 - Up for listing is a Gewehr 98 made by DWM for the Imperial German Army before WW1. The rifle retains about 65% of its finish and has seen some hard use on the battlefield. The metal on the receiver has prickling of corrosion throughout. The barrel is in rough condition with a lot of corrosion and patina. The wood has been sanded and there is a large stock repair on the left side near the rear barrel band. This rifle has matching parts on the barrel, receiver, stock, front barrel band, and rear sight. The rest of the parts are mismatched. The bore is fairly dark and fully frosted over.
