3/19/285 - For sale is a Gewehr 98 made by DWM in 1916 The rifle is in the original configuration and was not updated to a Gewehr 98M during the Weimar era. The receiver was originally in the white but is browning from patina. The barrel still retains a nice matte bluing with frecklign of patina. The stock shows signs of age but is in great shape overall. There is a small chip on the left side near the rear barrel band. The bore is bright with strong rifling but has some patina in the grooves at the muzzle. The rifle has matching numbers throughout.
