Description
5/1/26- For sale is an early Rock Island M1905 bayonet. The blade is bright with mild patina but no serious wear or edge chipping. The blade is stamped "RIA 1908" along with the flaming bomb emblem. The other side of the blade is stamped "US 122208". The grips have light wear but no cracking or chipping. The scabbard is the very early type and is stamped "RIA 190" along with a faded final digit and an inspector mark. There is also a "65 N.Y. 452" unit marking. There is moderate wear to the leather and some toe damage. The metal fittings are intact. Overall in excellent condition and an example of the first few years of production.
