05/13/2024 - For sale is a Gewehr Model 1888 Commission rifle chambered in 8x57 originally made for the Imperial German army. This rifle has been reworked by Turkey after WW1 to no longer use en bloc clips. The metal on the rifle is in clean condition but well worn. There are no signs of corrosion or pitting and the original bluing remains The stock has been stripped of its original finish and sanded but is slightly rough to the touch. The rifle is bolt mismatched. The bore is immaculate and very bright with great rifling. The rifle comes with a leather sling.
