Description

7/31/18 - This is a very early Walther PP with rare but desirable features that are unique to the early 30s Walther PP.  This pistol has the earliest variation grips with X-shaped reinforcement.   They quickly made the change to the weighted variation in late 1933.    It has the early 90 degree safety, and the distinct large ring hammer that was only used for a very short period of time.  Also notice that the serial number is reversed on the frame, and the barrel is slightly extended.  Internally, it has the early two-piece firing pin and the firing pin assembly is also covered.  Slide is internally matching to the frame.  The ejection chamber is blued and not proofed, which is correct for this early PP.  Finally, it has the early Walther banner magazine with RARE slab side finger extension.  These early magazines and grips can sell for $400+ each.  Minty bore.
