SOLD - Soviet Shashka Officer Parade Sword

12/26/23 - This is an original and great condition soviet shaska officer's parade sword. This example was produced in 1945. The sword comes with an original scabbard. The scabbard has brass bolsters that show some tarnishing but no corrosion. The outer body of the scabbard is made from wood and shows minor surface wear with a tiny spiderweb crack (see photos). The blade shows almost no imperfections as it was heavily coated in cosmoline and retains its factory edge. We have wiped away most of the cosmoline to show the blade's condition; however, some cosmoline remains within the scabbard. The ricasso is maker-marked and dated (1945) on the left side, with an inspector mark on the right side. The wood grip is in excellent condition with almost no wear and has deep texturing. Crossguard and pommel show a few nicks here and there with no significant issues.
