Description
2/15/24 - This is a Type 18 Murata chambered in 11x60mmR. This model was Japan's 2nd domestically designed and produced rifle, manufactured beginning in 1885 with about 80,000 produced. It has retained around 50% of its finish, with spotty oxidation and surface patina throughout the receiver and trigger guard, with the barrel appearing to be reblued. The receiver is marked with make and model information, written in Japanese. The stock has one hairline crack on the grip and a crack in the forend (See Photos), handling marks, and surface dings throughout. Cartouche is visible on the stock but not legible. The butt plate is not quite flush with the bottom of the stock. The bore is in exceptionally good condition with strong rifling and minimal wear. We rate the bore a 9/10.Specifications
