Description
8/29/23 - This is an unusual variation of the Type 18 Murata Rifle. This rifle has been converted to a 30-gauge shotgun, which uses the standard 11x60mmR cartridge; however, the casing would be straight-walled instead of bottlenecked. The outer surface of the barrel, as well as the receiver, show a heavy patina. Parts of the tang have pitting. The bore has no rifling and surface wear throughout, which we rate 4.5/10. There's a fair amount of corrosion likely due to corrosive ammo. The stock has been sporterized and has a nice reddish-brown color with a textured checkering pattern on the grip; one gouge is present on the right side, just below the breech. One thing to note is the addition of engraving on the underside of the receiver, which is likened to that of classic Browning/Ithaca hunting shotguns. Also The bolt does not lock into the breech properly and it is not recommend to fire this weapon.Specifications
