Description
8/6/24 - This is an excellent condition example of a 1909 Argentine officer's short sword. Along with the sword is an original scabbard and the correct frog. The scabbard has finish loss throughout with no pitting or dents, and the all-original frog has tight and complete stitching with very little cracking in the leather. This sword boasts a stunning, highly polished 14-and-a-half-inch blade (36.83cm) that has been well preserved throughout the years and only has light scabbard wear. The edge has been sharpened but has a much nicer and more uniform edge typically seen on post-factory sharpened swords and bayonets. Ricasso shows the Argentine national crest along with a maker stamp. The serial number has been lightly ground. The crossguard and pommel have a few small areas of pinpricking with no heavy corrosion. Sword is equipped with very nice wood grips that show normal wear.Specifications
