Description

4/12/21 - This is an excellent example of an Eddystone Model 1917 rifle issued to the US military in 1918. It has the proper flaming bomb and "Eagle Head" proofs. The stock has a "P" proof and inspector initials. The barrel is dated 1918. The gun has retained most of its original finish. There is some minor wear on the barrel and high edges of the receiver. The stock is excellent but was likely lightly sanded. The bore has strong rifling with minor frosting in the grooves.
