05/13/2024 - For sale is a M1 Garand made in 1940 at the Springfield Arsenal. The rifle is clean and is in 90% condition overall that had been sold through the CMP. The receiver serial number puts the date of manufacture in August of 1940 and the barrel had been replaced and is marked 9-1944. The stock is clean and free of cracks or breaks and is stamped AAO and AA GAW on the side. The bore is excellent and bright and has a Muzzle reading of 1 and the throat reading of 2. The rifle comes with a CMP hardcase, a canvas sling , and the CMP paperwork. The parts breakdown list is provided in the photos.
