06/13/2024 - For sale is a M1 Garand produced by Springfield Arsenal in November of 1941. This rifle was provided to the British war effort after losing their equipment withdrawing from Dunkirk. The rifle is in nice condition overall with noted finish loss on the barrel, as plug, and some scratches on the receiver/rear sight.The stock has been sanded and refinished. There is a 9.5" long crack on the upper handguard from the receiver to the barrel band. The bore is bright but does get darker towards the muzzle but it does have good rifling. The muzzle erosion reads a 2 and the throat erosion a 2. The barrel is stamped 10-41 and has British proofs.
