Description
10/30/24 - For sale is an experimental M1 Carbine put together by Smith & Wesson's Product Engineering Team in the 1990s. The carbine was developed to try and have a long gun chambered in the new.40 S&W cartridge when the need arose. A Letter written by the former director of Smith & Wesson Academy bought the rifle from Smith & Wesson in 2005 after the teams were disbanded. The receiver was made by Standard Products during WW2 and was rebarreled by S&W. The bolt was modified to chamber the cartridge. The stock is a Choate stock with a pistol grip and an aftermarket heat shield. The bore is bright with great rifling. The carbine comes with a Letter from Bert DuVernay S&W Academy and a Certificate of Authenticity from the Larry L. Ruth College.Specifications
