Description
10/19/26 - This is an extremely rare Mauser Banner Luger rig from 1938, with the Eagle K police inspection stamp on the receiver. This is the rarest of all the police Mauser Banner Lugers, with only 275 produced, and this one is only 3 digits after the earliest reported serial, making it one of the very first issued. All numbers on the pistol match, including the grips and magazine. It comes as a rig with two magazines (the matching-numbered and an unnumbered police Haenel magazine), a police-numbered Luger tool (not matching to the gun), and a very nice 1938-dated police holster. While one of the mags is matching, we do not believe the numbering is original. The bluing rates around 90%, but there is some cold blue touch-up on the side plate, and the side plate and muzzle account for most of the wear. Nice grips with minor handling wear but no chips. Mint bore. A remarkable early Eagle K police Banner Luger, complete as a period rig.
