Description
7/18/25 - This is an excellent example of a 7.5" Colt Single Action Army Revolver, manufactured in 1891 and chambered in .45 Colt. It is all matching and in much better condition than most for its age. There is a "731" number on the front face of the cylinder, next to the loading gate, and on the frame. This appears like it could be a Colt rebuild number and could indicate it went back to Colt for rebuild. Most of the original bluing is intact on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, and the original case-hardening on the frame is mostly visible. There are areas of light spotty oxidation throughout with noticeable finish loss along the barrel and on the grip straps. Fitted with second generation hard rubber American Eagle grips. The bore is excellent for its age with strong rifling, but there is light spotty surface oxidation throughout. Fully functional. No FFL required.
